The Brighton Public Library has a substantial selection of historical materials in print, microfiche, and microfilm formats. The foyer has a rotating exhibit of BDA archival photos.
Proctor House Museum
Built by the prominent Proctor family in the mid-1800s and lovingly restored by a dedicated group of volunteers, this magnificent home is open to the public, with guided tours and special events. The adjacent Simpson Barn is home to the Brighton Barn Theatre.

Northumberland County Archives and Museum hosts a repository of documents and artifacts for Northumberland County and soon will have a large new dedicated space in Cobourg. An archivist and a curator are on staff to assist your search.
