Brighton Digital Archives

Camping at Presqu’ile in 1898 meant packing up and transporting all the family’ needs.

Archival Material

You may have found a single, dusty old post card from Brighton’s past. Or perhaps you have an entire treasure trove of photographs in the attic. Maybe it’s a very old deed, or even vintage business records. The Brighton Digital Archives encourages you to share. We would love to see these digitized before they’re lost to age and neglect. And you’ll be preserving our history in a way that all can enjoy. Contact us now to start the conversation.

Funding Donations

As a Committee of the Brighton Public Library Board, the BDA is a volunteer-run organization and receives an annual budget from The Municipality. These funds help us with many operating expenses including printing costs, website development and management, scanning and video equipment. Donations from the community and local groups help us with outreach, with enhancing the quality of our work, and in the realm of creative project development, inspire us to dream big (or perhaps just a wee bit bigger).

Financial donations are received with gratitude and with charity receipts

Donations can be made by cash or by cheque, made out to Brighton Public Library, and clearly marked as designated for the Brighton Digital Archives.  All donations over $20 will receive a receipt by mail, so please include your address. You may also donate online via the Canada Helps link on the Brighton Public Library website by clicking here.

Thank you!
